Welcome to the application process for The Share Our Arts Slingshot Marketplace at The Mandelstam School! The SOA x TMS Back-to-School Marketplace will take place on Sunday, September 13 at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Mandelstam School is located at 8530 SW 57 Avenue in South Miami, adjacent to Dante Fascell Park. 

Vendor setup opens at 11:00 a.m., breakdown is at 4:00 p.m., and an awards ceremony for participants will begin around 4:30 p.m. On-site parking is first come, first-served. 

Prospective student vendors ages eight* through 15 may apply to rent a tent with up to six students, or a table with up to three students. Tents are $100 and tables are $55. Marketplace staff will determine your placement based on what type of product you will offer. For this Back-to-School Marketplace, the following categories are prioritized: School Supplies, Teacher/Classroom, Clothing, Accessories, Activities/Games/Crafts, and Food/Beverage. (* Younger student entrepreneurs may participate with adult supervision.)

About This Slingshot Marketplace

The Share Our Arts Slingshot Marketplace at The Mandelstam School will motivate young entrepreneurs to recognize their ideas and turn them into action. Local students will start or refine their business, calculate costs, determine selling price, create a logo and apply marketing tools to share the business with potential customers.

This one-day marketplace is a dynamic way for participants to learn business and social skills while having fun. It is an enriching experience and an opportunity for kids to earn their own money on a hands-on business experience.
